On the latest edition of the Sideline Sports Show, Brice and DC recap a wild opening week of high school football across northeast Indiana, breaking down the biggest wins, most surprising results, and standout individual performances.

The guys start with the best matchup and most surprising score from Week 1, with plenty of options to choose from, including East Noble's 19-0 shutout win over North Side. Warsaw and Snider delivered one of the most entertaining games of the week, with Warsaw winning 33-30 despite throwing for zero yards while piling up an incredible 478 rushing yards. Bishop Dwenger also survived a thriller, defeating Roncalli 15-14 in triple overtime.

The SAC provided plenty of fireworks as well. Carroll opened the season with a dominant 54-23 win over HSE, while South Side cruised past Marion 49-6 behind a huge performance from Jayvon Irby. Concordia also picked up an impressive 35-26 victory over Scecina, led by Eli Trent, who accounted for 351 total yards and five touchdowns.

In the ACAC, Bluffton made a statement with a 42-6 win over Shenandoah. Cooper Craig ran for 178 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Adams Central also opened the season with a big 35-20 win over Bishop Luers.

The Northeast 8 was dominated by several local powers. DeKalb rolled past Garrett 46-7, Columbia City crushed NorthWood 45-8, and Leo shut out Wayne 42-0.

The NECC featured one of the most dramatic games of the week as Eastside defeated South Adams 45-27. The Starfires led by four with three minutes remaining and had the ball before Eastside completely flipped the game. Job Richman rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown, while Noah Dove added 97 rushing yards and three scores.

Other notable NECC results included Fremont's 46-7 win over Blackhawk Christian, with quarterback Jaret Laughlin accounting for more than 400 total yards and four touchdowns. Northridge also exploded for 62 points against West Noble, while Angola, Bremen, Central Noble and Woodlan all picked up wins.
