Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you are, however you may be listening. Thanks for tuning in to the Get Indiana Podcast Network. My name is Dominic Miranda and I've been covering sports for nearly a decade. Most of which right here in Indianapolis. This is the Get In Sports podcast. We're going to be covering everything in the Hooser State, high school, college, pro, in the sports capital of the universe in the greatest state on planet Earth.

Thanks so much for coming on this journey with us. Let's get into it. Welcome inside the Get Indiana podcast network studios. We got founder, CEO extraordinaire Nate Spangle with us. Don Miranda here. We have a absolutely jam-packed, loaded, unbelievable slate of high school football games to talk about from week seven.

Oh my goodness, that is insane. But I do want to mention before we get started talking high school football around the state, I really want to acknowledge an incredibly unfortunate and sad situation that happened on Monday in Indiana. Yorktown senior football player Chris Wilson Jr. passed away early Monday morning as a result of a shooting. Something you never ever want to hear. Uh we here at Get In Sports want to pass along our sincere condolences, prayers, and love to the Wilson family, to the community of Yorktown, and really to everybody involved in a very tragic situation.

And I know my stomach sank when I heard about this today. Uh it's just a really tough pill to swallow when an 18-year-old with such a bright future is gone way too soon. Wilson Jr. was a three-star defensive end. He was headed to West Virginia to play for the Mountaineers and Rich Rod. One of the most highly touted prospects to come out of Delaware County and it's history.

I mean, he really he held offers from over a dozen division one football programs. So, an amazing talent, shining star in the Hooser State, just taken away far too soon. and uh just really incredibly sad and we want to honor him at the top of this episode before we talk about anything else. Yeah, man. Uh I like was in disbelief. I mean, you were just out there in two weeks ago in Yorktown two weeks ago.

I mean, they the the community rallying together for Operation Football then. It was a it was an insane showing then and I'm just the football community, the high school sports community from across the state. Uh just keeping the Wilson family, keeping all of Yorktown in your prayers. I mean, what a just Yeah. brutal, unfortunate set of circumstances for someone that was a bright shining star here in the Hooser State that was going to go and do big big things. Yeah.

And our our love and prayers just go out to the family and all those affected in that community. And uh it's definitely going to make this season one that is uh one you never forget in Yorktown. Yeah, it uh it's never easy to transition from something that's very very sad to things that are very fun and engaging and energetic, but we wanted to give our love and prayers to the Wilson family, to the community of Yorktown before we get going and then we'll talk some football. Yeah, man. I I think that that we had to talk and address that and now we we're going to go and transition and talk about all things high school sports and high school football across the state of Indiana and uh I mean it's going to be a bounceback week for the Tigers and uh we'll be following the rest of the season. I think it's going to be a special one for them.

You talk about a group of guys rallying around a teammate that they loved, one of the best players on their team, but aside from football, just a kid, right? Just a kid. Yeah, I think that's the that's the piece for I know everyone out there is like if you have a high school kid, if you have a kid in general, if you have someone you love, just give them an extra hug and uh hold them close and watch out for each other, show spread some love. I mean, you know, you just got to keep each other uh in our thoughts and prayers. Yeah, 100%. And uh anyone from Yorktown, if you want to shoot us anything just about the guy he was, Yeah.

good positive things just to honor him, by all means, do it. Absolutely. We'll continue to do that throughout the season. Amen. So, uh, our thoughts, prayers about Yorktown. We'll see how the Tigers keep doing.

It's going to be a very, very difficult thing, but, uh, you know, football sports has a way of uplifting and bringing people together in times of sadness. So, we'll try to do the same. Amen. We're going to take some time to, uh, pop around the state and look at other high school athletes, uh, from top to bottom, South Bend, Evansville, and everywhere in between that are doing big things when it comes to high school football. Okay. So, wait to bring I want to bring some levity to the studio here.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, it's been it's been a really interesting day for you, dude. This is this has been a day.

This will be a good like let's tell I want Spangle to tell the story of his Monday, October 5th. So, it's Monday. We're recording at night. This this episode's going to come out on Tuesday. What a wild day. From like different news sources breaking and whatnot to I was outside on a call uh today just outside our studio.

This is so crazy. I know. I feel like I can't dox myself anymore because of the events that transpired today. I'm on a call having a a great conversation this morning. And how? Yeah.

What time? 9:30 in the morning. 94. It's a 20-minute call. It's a beautiful morning by the way. And out of nowhere, this gentleman comes walking up.

We assume unhoused. Joe, I'm I'm unsure, but there's this guy coming. He's about two blocks away. He's walking up with a purpose, like on a mission, and he's wearing a bright red sweatshirt with like a Rocky V-neck, you know, I like self cut. Yeah. All the way down to below his nipples.

This guy is walking up towards me. In one hand, he's carrying his phone that is just blaring AC/DC thunder strength, which on its face, what a way to start your Monday morning. This guy was ready to rock. In the other hand, he's just squeezing one of those, you know, grip strength testers. He put on the bench. Yeah.

To keep the plates up. But also, he's just just out there working on grip strength. Love that. And this guy, I like get out of the way. I'm like this move off the tracks cuz the train is coming through. Choo choo.

And I had to get up into the uh landscaping to let him go by because I'm on my phone. And he's blaring thunder struck so loud that I had to mute my call. I like, "Hold on a second. Mute the call." He then proceeds to join me in the landscape, chest to chest. And he says, "Who are you on the phone with?"

"Your boyfriend." And proceeds to then berate me with all sorts of slurs, homophobic slurs. Yeah. Just going crazy. And I'm like, uh, I I'm literally taken it back. He then proceeds to slap me in the face.

And again, I It's not funny, but it's hilarious. It's 9:50. It's 9:50 in the morning. I'm on a public side. And he starts screaming at me, "Don't touch me. Don't touch me."

And I'm like, "What? You just hit me." He hit me and it's literally Was it a hard slap? I mean, it got me right on the bridge of the nose, you know, like not one that you're It woke me up. I didn't need an extra cup of coffee. Oh, yeah.

I don't think you were anticipating him slapping you in the face, dude. He just like And I'm like I I literally don't know what to do. I'm like backing up a little bit. Like I'm not trying to get into a physical altercation with this guy. Like he was again, you talk about the grip tester and the thunder struck. Like he was out on a mission looking for a fight.

And at 9:30 in the morning, 9:30 in the morning, I was holding my phone. It was on mute. So the person on the other end of the line had no idea what was going like, "Nate, are you there?" And I'm like, "Oh gosh, dude. I just like Did you just pick up the conversation from where? No.

Uh, it was roll the conversation was wrapping up. I elected because I'm a normal smart human being. I elected to not go with the violent route. No, I can't. You know, you can't go with violence. We, you know, we here run a tight.

It would have been self-defense. I mean, it would have been, I have to say, it was a crazy experience uh to start the Monday and that really set the tone. And that was almost 12 hours ago and here we are today now. So, uh, all that to be said, you were flustered. One, if you're looking for a way to pump up your athletes leading into a game, grip tester, Thunder Struck, that will get the job done. Slap them.

Yeah. No, don't do that. Don't do that. We're definitely not advocating if uh Yeah, absolutely not. But uh if authorities are looking uh around the perimeter of our Have we not located him? We have not.

We have not located. So if you find the guy, don't send him my way. Yeah. Avoid at all costs. Yeah. Uh that was a We are investing in heavier amounts of security out there.

We're checking out crazy crazy stuff. Now we're here. So now we talk uh all things high school sports. It was a great week. It was a great week in football. Here's what's crazy.

Talk to me. We have a new a new uh widest margin of victory. No, we do not. It was not. No, we've had an 80. No, no, no, no, no.

It But I'm saying it's a different team. Okay. We had the the Indians. They were there for a minute. No disrespect to the Indians. You don't Hey, we told you.

We're here for you. It's about friendship playing football with your friends. Amen, dude. You never You never regret running out the tunnel on a Friday night. What I will say is shout out to the crew down at Gibson Southern. Yes.

They are the recipients of the Widest Margin award. They uh took down the Washington Hatchets 70 to nothing. I do have a soft spot for the Washington Hatchets. They're a basketball school, man. Yeah, that's that's true. Okay, Washington's They're one and six.

Okay, they're they're having a tough year. But Gibson Southern, can I say something about Gibson Southern right quick? Contender or pretender? Oh, contender. Their only loss is to Floyd Central, who's top five in class 5A. We'll get to the Highlanders here soon.

Yes, sir. But Gibson Southern, I found this out this week. So that we shouted out their coach Nick Hart for his 150th win last week. He is the son of Brownsburg head coach John Hart. Oh, how about that? So now we have a Hart report and a right report.

Yes. Wow. That is correct. That is and the Sorggy report. And the SG report. But he uh he has won a state championship gibson southern one state in 2021.

He's been to a one, two, three, four, five semi-states, but he has won now 151 games as head coach. He's 151 and 30 in 15 years. That's a 10 win average at Gibson Southern. Football runs deep in the Hart family veins. I mean, his dad's going for a three beat. And Gibson Southern, what if they won a state championship on the same day?

It wouldn't be on the same day because it's 3A, 6A, but backto-back days. Talk about Thanksgiving weekend. That would be in the heart household. I mean, they might need a steak dinner at St. Elmo if that if they go back to back. They're gonna That would say if they both Hey, if John Hart and Nick Hart win state, we're both we're both going to take the St.

Elmo. We'll take We'll take What an elite conversation. That would be so great. I would actually very much enjoy that. Same. So, yes, Gibson Southern widest margin of victory.

Now, Dom, we are I mean, what how far into this? This is week seven. We're going into week eight. So, yeah, wrapped up. Regular season's going to have two weeks left. Uh, yes.

This week and next week. Two weeks left in the regular season. There are still 30 unbeaten teams. That feels like a lot. That feels like a lot. I know there's six classes and everything, but I think we're going to need to go in dive into that and see what class.

I was thinking the same thing. At what point do we like highlight all the unbeatens? Yeah, I think that regular season. Yeah, like let's whittle that down to like team. What do we think? Oh, wait, wait.

I want to know prediction. Prediction. How many teams remain un Well, we need to know how many of them are going to match up with each other. True. I mean, I feel like some this week. Sight unseen.

Sight unseen. I want to know how many teams are going to finish the regular season and head into sectionals unbeaten. What's your guess? 20. That feels heavy. I don't know.

Feels heavy. You already picked it. You already picked it. 10 get knocked off. Yeah, I like 20. I'm gonna say 14.

I feel like 14. I think there's going to be some good rivalries like some conference championship type games that are still yet to play from unbeatens. I think there will be 14 undefeated teams heading into the postseason. Okay, I like it. Uh any bets on how many uh uh unbeaten perfect seasons? Brownsburg's way to state.

I I would just be floored, flumxed, bewildered, bamboozled, befuddled. Okay, run a muck. led astray. If Brownsburg does not win state, I will be honestly kind of heartbroken. He is uh you becoming a Brownsburg. I know, dude.

Seriously, I need to stop. Uh but uh that's a really good question, but I do think like South Putt looks unreal right now. There's a slew of unbeatens in 1A. I would I would venture to guess without looking that 1A features the most unbeaten teams. Wow. We're going to have to do a deep dive on the last week of the of the regular season.

We'll do an unbeaten deep dive. go in on every team. Yeah. Okay. I like that. Um but I don't know like three is three a good guess.

Three classes have state champs that are undefeated. Like 4A I don't think 4A will. I don't think 3A will. Well, I don't know. Maybe Gibson Southern. Well, Gibson Southern lost to Floyd.

Yeah, they're not unbeaten. So, crazy. Uh we do have to talk about talk to me. Gosh, dude. This one hurts. Yeah, I'm sorry.

So after 11 straight victories in this conference series, Castston has broken their streak and they beat Triton my alma mater 40 to8. I'm so sorry. Again, it's a rebuild gear, man. You got to get right in the future. It's That's a tough one. I don't You can hype it up casting all year though.

That would be That means Wait, what? That streak started in 2015, right? 11 years. Would that have been Or this would be the 12th. This would have been 12. So 2014.

So your senior year. My senior year. Yeah. Wait. Uh so you beat them. That was one of your wins.

Your only win. No, we had three wins my senior year. Sorry. That was that was rude. So maybe we actually maybe we didn't play them a few years with the new conference potentially. I think Well, let's go back and Can you look at that?

The Northwood Panthers beat a ranked Concord team 23 to 17. That is Nate Andrews 100th win at the helm up there in Napony. Congratulations to Nate Andrews. 146 in 13 years at the school. That is two state championship appearances. Unfortunately, one of those did not come in 2014 when I was a senior.

We were six and five though. Winning record, baby. You okay? Wait. So, the last time Trident I was on this team, it was 2012 and they won 2820. They beat you.

They won when I was, this was 2012, I believe. I was a sophomore that year. I remember that team was pretty good. They ended up six and four that year. So maybe not that good, but better than us. And then uh Trident proceeded to win in 2013, 2014.

Got it. And that would been the first. So I was a junior. That was our only win that season. Then we beat him my senior year 31 nothing. I felt good.

I got in the end zone. They hadn't beat Triton until 2026. And then we lost it unfortunately. All right. Well, that's Trident Northwood talk right there. That is alma mater hour.

And now let's dive in across the state. Dominic, what games are sticking out to you? Jump off the page. I have some scores that stick out to me. This should be a This is a sponsorable segment for those of you out there. Um, this is one we were really excited about.

The Battle of Enllo Field. Correct. 3A top ranked Evansville Memorial in a barn burner beats 4A six ranked Evansville writes 30-27 close game but that's a 3A over a 4A Evansville Memorial they could be one of the unbeatens who win state they're looking very good this season boy that cross town rivalry there we love to see it yeah so Evansville Memorial beats Evansville rights enload field trophy not sure goes to the I don't think there's I don't think there's a no traveling I don't think there's a traveling trophy for that one. All right. So, also can we talk about the Purdue Illinois? How that cannon is so small.

The canon is How about Purdue winning? By the way, shout out, dude. P4 win, but crazy that they're like the cannon. They're rolling. They have the cannon out this tiny cannon as their That's a huge win for Purdue. All right.

Hey, 4A fourth ranked East Noble stays unbeaten. They beat 13th ranked Columbia City 42-21. Well done, Knights. Alex Stewart just doesn't lose. East Noble gonna be a force coming down from the north in class 4A. This one stuck out to me.

4A 7th ranked Ron Ali getting it done over 5A second ranked to New Pal. That's Newal's second loss of the year. Sound the alarms. 20-6. Dom Chromemer continuing to win. You said Spain.

This is Is this the game that decides the quarterback situation? Now, someone did message me and say Dom Chromemer's main position is middle linebacker. Oh, but he is performing very well as the supplemental. I said I said if they win out the rest of the the next two games, who do they have? Who do they have next? They have not lost since Chitaard.

Okay, they have Harrison in West Lafayette and then East Central. And this is what we said that potentially the the young man Jack Jay Quellin Jack potentially Jay Quellin is eligible for East Central. Well, you're hearing reports that maybe not though. Uh TBD. I don't know. I thought you don't know the whole I thought that with the ISA he would be good to go but like you your your guy you just beat new pal.

Yeah. You just beat New with Dom at the helm. I don't know if you can make a change. What else do you say? I don't know if you can make a change, Dominic. Now I will say over the last four weeks, Roni's given up like eight points on average.

So the defense is the main driver I need to know of their success. How many tackles does Mr. Chromemer get? Is he going both ways right now? Dude, I I don't know. That is crazy at a school like Ronie.

Okay. Hey, I was at this game. 6A second ranked Warren Central remains unbeaten. 5337 absolute shootout over Lawrence North. Okay. Keon Thomas.

Keon Thomas had over 300 yards rushing. He's going to Iowa. I want to get the exact figure for you because it was unreal. 31 carries, 379 yards, six touchdowns. Keon Thomas in a battle against another one of the best running backs in the state, Zay Moore, who had an hundred yard kickoff return that got called back. I saw that clip.

Did you see my clip? That clip was awesome. Okay, Vincent, I showed Vincent Miranda that clip. He's like, "Oh, I thought it would have been better." What? That was insane.

Give me a break, dude. Dude, they beat LM, so big win. It does appear as though they pulled him from the defense. He was tackling people earlier on in the season. He has not tackled someone since um September 11th was his last time. Talk about Don Cromer.

Don Krome. So So only quarterback. Okay. Well, he's doing well, man. You know what are you going to do? All right.

So, Warren Central. Well done. All right. This was one we had our eyes on. This was featured on Operation Football, by the way. 2A 9th ranked Eastern Hancock upsets 2A second ranked Lapel 39 to 27.

There were two kickoff returns and a putt return touchdown in that game, dude. All three phases of the game. It was awesome. We love to see that. That's incredible. I want to say there was a uh good for Eastern Hancock.

And Eastern Hancock's quarterback is named Matt Hunt. Hey, shout out. Shout out Matt Hunt. The real Matt Hunt Tiger legend. Yeah, absolutely. All right.

Hayden Jackson had an 85 yard punt return for Lapel. Reed Hamilton had a 70 yard kickoff return touchdown for for Lapel. And then Eastern Hancock's guy's name was I want to say Garrett Bowman. Wow. I just pulled that out of my brain. That's crazy.

But uh it was it was a wild one of them was like a little flip on the the highlights were nuts, dude. I I was so pumped we had a while. But hey, Eastern Hancock, congratulations. Hey, they have a first year head coach, Eastern Hancock, by the way. No way. Seven and0 first year at the helm, William Counz.

So well done, William. Gavin Bowman takes it. Gavin, what did I say? I I said Garrett. Garrett, maybe. Gavin Bowman takes it 82 yards.

I got to watch this play. Oh, off the bench. They have it. Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm watching it. Oh, he finds the crease.

Yeah. Oh, makes a guy miss. Gone. Wow. Look at you. You could be calling highlight Bowman.

Oh, baby. He looks tall. Or maybe his teammates are Dude, it was a cool game. They had some really cool plays coming out of hand. Come on. Wait, who's this first year head coach?

William Coun. William Coons. Shout out Coach Coons, baby. What does that move the Royals do? Seven and0. They're undefeated.

His first year. Let's go. Le, that was lapel's first loss on the year. Oh, wow. That's a big big result for the Eastern Hancock Royals getting the job done. That to me will decide the Eastern Crossroads Conference.

Although Eastern Hancock has Milin that last game of the year. Milin's a good team. They're three. They're six and one and their only loss is to Batesville by a point. So anyway, good stuff out of class 2A. Stick it in 2A.

You know, we said, "Look, South putt, you're beating up on everybody, but North View is going to be a different beast." And I'll tell you what, the Eagles said, "You guys don't know what you're talking about cuz we're south putt and we're really freaking good." Fifth ranked Southt wins 45-7 over 4A 12th ranked North View. 45 to7. Did didn't someone message you and say Northreview's first drive was like negative 35 yards or something? I thought we had something along the way.

It was like sack sack sack punt block punt or something. I don't know. It was crazy. I think I sent that in. It was so cuz someone messaged me too actually on Friday. Uh we need to talk.

I need to know. Did the varsity play in the second half? Yeah, I know. That's that's the pressing issue here because we said they wouldn't but my goodness, I don't know if they needed to. Dude, Northview's a big school over there. Yeah, that's incredible.

That and I want to know I gotta ask Craig Rigstaw on Wednesday at Colts. Um, how common is it? And how many times has this happened where a team wins a state championship in a class, gets bumped up, and immediately wins a state championship in the other class? Because South Putinham is firmly in contention to do that. Yeah, man. That's incredible.

like who I mean I I don't know much about Brownstown Central. Okay, we just talked about Lapel and Eastern Hancock. Lutheran's undefeated. Haven't talked much about Indie Lutheran, but you know Dave Pash, man, he does an absolutely phenomenal job over there. Um and and Lutheran just got bumped up a few years ago as well to 2A. So 2A's got some team spang.

Um you know, Hangerstown 7 and0 so I don't know. South Putt, man, they could definitely do it. Dude, I'm I gotta know. I wonder if uh if our man Mauy Shields Oh, I bet he's just eating. Oh, dude. Gotta be doing great.

I wonder if he's like, "Hey, man. Maybe I should have held out and waited for school." I mean, hey, we haven't signed. I mean, and I was going to say it's wild wild west out there. He could someone could swoop in and get him. But I am I'm pumped about South Putt.

It's good stuff. They actually messaged me. I got to message him back and said, "Thanks for all the shouts out on." That does that does bring a uh a a great point if you're out there. Yes. And one, we get a lot of feedback saying you need to talk about this school or that school.

The full pot out on YouTube, out on Facebook goes out everywhere. We mention everybody as many people as we can in the time allotted. And it's not just like yes, there are some rapid fire score segments, but we try to collect as much research as Max Preps or the DMs or wherever uh allows. Watch the full episode. It would mean a lot to us if you left the review, if you did all the stuff. Subscribe, all the things.

We're talking all things high school football every Tuesday. And I know in the comments it's always like you're forgetting so and so or you don't clip so and so. We can only put 90ish seconds or whatever it is into a clip to put out on social. But in our full I mean this might go for 90 minutes. And here's the thing. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, we're probably doing seven high school football clips.

And that's a lot. That's two a day. And then I usually just do one on Friday. Matchups we like. But if we did a clip on everybody we wanted to do a clip on, we would do nothing else. Yes.

Which like we have we know we have some other podcasts to uh get out there. So, you know, really appreciate your feedback. Seriously, everywhere we go, you guys say very very nice things to us. The DMs are super nice. The comments keep talking to us and we're going to mention everything on the full podcast. Yes, that's what we do.

That's what the podcast is for. So, appreciate you guys. But just know we're not doing it on purpose or to slight anybody. No, it was only two so much time in a day. Amen. Anyway, all right, that was a good segue.

That was a couple more really quick. This one was just funny because of the score. 3A 11th ranked Twin Legs beats Tipton 7156. Dude, that's a basketball score. 7156. And then a couple of upsets in class 1A.

Alexandria beats 1A eighth ranked Madison Grant 35 to2. And Tecumpsa beats Springs Valley who is eighth ranked in 1A 31-6. Oh man, to come. What a win. So, how about that? Those are some scores that stuck out to me.

Those are some good scores from around the state. I would agree. Um, I mean, it has been a wild year. There are some absolute highlights. I've been seeing, you know, how the algorithm starts to work and all of a sudden like you watch one highlight all the way through and then you just get like 10 more. Yes, dude.

My algorithm has been nothing but high school. I love it. I love it. Same, dude. Dude, and I love that now almost every school, no matter what your size is, there's like a semi-professional photographer on Oh, getting video. We've noticed this at WTR.

There are so many more people on the sidelines recording with like very expensive cameras. I don't know where these highlights are going. Yeah. But if you want to send them to us, we'd love to do a collab with us. Love to do a segment just like reviewing highlights. I think that would be so fun.

Oh, just put them up here. tough with rights and the whole thing of like people, but not in high school, dude. High school it's a freak. Well, if you want us to review highlights from your game, I would love to just watch those. Dude, we'll watch tape all day. I would love to watch some tape.

They uh some of the biggest names. Go check out their Instagram. I mean, from, you know, big names that are getting sacks in the NFL to big names that are getting sacks on Saturdays. They uh they do a great job. Randy, Dwan, they're awesome. You are gonna get to get a deep dive in.

Yeah, Dwan has an incredible story that I cannot wait to tell. They'll both be on both of our podcast. Well, I mean, some variations. Yeah. So, shout out to them. They also sponsor our high school athlete of the week.

So, thank you to our friends at Ascend Football. All right, Dominic. All right, let's talk shop here. One, what sticks out to you? Uh, first off, huge win for the Burbuff Jesuit Braves 32-29 over Columbus North. Whoa, that's a good win.

Columbus North and Columbus East, both with firstear head coaches. So, establishing the culture a little bit. That's a nice win for both. They move to uh four and I believe three on the season. Columbus North drops to three and four. All right, so Danville beats Harrison West Lafayette 45-4.

Danville is 7-0, one of the 30 remaining unbeaten teams, Spain. They have big wins this year over Yorktown and Cascade. I believe that is Cascad's only loss it is of the season. And remember, Cascade defending state champions there in class 3A. So, who dipped down to 2A then? So, but uh Danville is unbeaten.

Jamie Comr head coach. All right. He went to state his very first year in 2020. Hasn't even won a sectional since. So, you know, the Warriors are hungry. They're seven and0.

And they beat Harrison West Lafayette. Yep. As we keep rolling down, we have to talk about this one. This guy is in contention for our player of the week. I'll just say this. Talk to me.

You got to talk about East Central. They get the job done. I believe 70-27 over Connorsville. Yep. I believe Ryan Mingus, the running back for East Central. Or is it Mises?

It's not Mises, it's Mingus. Someone said that I said it right. Uh Ryan Mingus of East Central. Uh I believe the numbers were six touchdowns and he only played one half of football. Whoa. I believe it was oh gosh, like 350 yards or something on like 12 carries.

I mean, we talked about this last week, but 4A is loaded. Okay, wait. I I have the stat report here. Ryan Mingus from East Central, 12 carries, 191 yards, six touchdowns, and they benched him at halftime. I mean, what do you say? What do you That's I mean, that's that is if that's not in contention for high school football player of the week, I don't know what is.

He's a nominee. Mark it down. He's a nominee. He's a nominee. Uh I cannot wait for that week nine game. East Central and Ron Collie.

That is going to be a good one. tell us a lot. Where's it at? It's going to tell us a lot. It is at East Central. Oh, down in southeastern Indiana, baby.

No. So, we we might not be able to get there because of that, but I'm very We're going to talk about it on here. I can tell you that. Absolutely. For free. Okay.

Anyway, back to 4A. I I again, this class is loaded. Col or excuse me, Chitaard beats Columbus East 42 nothing. Uh the Jacks, is it Jax or Jagger? I believe it's Jack's Gidry in Danny Adams absence has been phenomenal. I think Danny was back in the game.

Stop it. I think Danny scored. Stop it. He did score. You're telling me Danny Adams is back. He's back.

He's back. This should have been on my phone. This should have woke me up at 4:00 a. m. on Friday morning even though I was already up at 4:00 a. m.

on Friday. Yeah, buddy. Uh that is awesome. Uh Chitaard went down uh and played Columbus East. Yep. They won 42 nothing.

Yeah. and um because he was in a boot when I was there just last week. So I was like, "Oh man, this is tough." Hold on, hold on, hold on. Here it is. First quarter, 132 left.

Chitaard goes up 14- nothing after having two touchdowns called back due to penalties. Danny Adams finally gets one that counts from two yards out. That's awesome. I'm so pumped that Danny Adams is back. But I do want to say Jack Gidri in his absence was fantastic. I do a monster.

Okay, Chitaard is Chitaard's like lethal when it comes to Danny Adams playing. I'll tell you that right now. Okay, so Chitaard gets it done. Uh Loganport beats Western 42 nil. Does that move Loganport to 7 and0? I'm seeing a seven.

All right, I got to look at Loganport. Yeah, Loganport, baby. The Loganport is mowing people down. Oh my goodness right now. They're outscoring people 459 on average. Oh, they got a big match up with Twin Lakes end of the year though.

So that's gonna be What's Twin Lakes record? Twin Lakes is six and one. Their only loss was to West Lafayette. Remember that was West Lafayette's first win of the season. One of my co-workers sons plays for West Lafayette. Hey, shout out.

Um, but Loganport, man, I can't tell if this is a an easy schedule or they're just really really good. Give me the wins. Give me the wins. Okay, I'm looking at Peru, South Ben Adams, Hamilton Heights, Lafayette Central, Knights, LCC. Those are the LCC small, but I think the Knights is a good win. West Lafayette, Typton, Western, and then they got Culver Academy and Twin Lakes to end the season.

Okay, we used to play Culver Academy in the second game every single year. I just think that's so funny. Why? Because it's just so random. I mean, they're Dude, that's a They have a great facility up there. Oh, dude, it's beautiful.

Great facility. Um, okay. Loganport, you got our attention. Logan Sport does have our attention. What else here? Talked about East Noble.

Huge win for the Knights. They're really, really good. Uh Dwanganger beats Lewis 34. Oh, East Noble. Was it the uh Oh, let me look. Let me look real quick.

I'm seeing uh Austin Phillips for East Noble with two rushing touchdowns. Yeah, East Noble finally broke through with two long touchdown runs by Austin Phillips and a defensive touchdown by Tayen Gets. Thank you to our friends at the Journal Gazette. That's a great way. East Noble scores three fourth quarter touchdowns to beat Columbia City and they take the lead in the I believe the conference is Northeastern 8. I believe you.

I don't know what actually I'll want to verify that. I want to verify. Fort Wayne does a really good job with their high school sports as far as the media. So well done Fort Wayne. Shout out. We love local journalists when they just get it right.

We love that. They always get it right. The Knights move. Are are they still They're undefeated right now. Yeah, remember I I told you Alex Stewart doesn't lose, dude. Come on now.

Uh Northridge is undefeated. They beat Mishawaka 3835 in a close game. Man, Misha Walka has had some really tough losses this year. Okay, but Northridge first and foremost is 7-0. Luke Amst is their head coach. He was the head coach at East Noble before this Alex Stewart guy took three years off.

Now he's back coaching. He's at Northridge. got him seven and0 in his first season. Yeah, the boys are ready to rock. Now, I got to tell you, Mishawaka Mishawaka has had two one-point wins in a row and then a three-point loss. Wow.

They're just in every game. They're in they they play to level their competition. Now, they they lost pretty handily to Penn and Warsaw, but that's everybody. Well, are those are different those are different classes, though. Penn's 6A, Warsaw's 5A. Yeah.

And Mishwalk is 4A. Here's the thing, though. The what I love about Indiana, Chip and a Chance. Chip and a chance. Chip and a chance. You can make it happen.

They're in these games. You just got to come out on the right side of what you rattle off. Is it six games in a row that wins the state title? That sounds right. It depends on the class cuz 6A has a buy that first week. Uh Rick Straw told me that one 6A matchup will be happening the first week of sectional though.

Just one. I forget why. Go back and listen. But he told me go back and listen to that. Um we need to work on Dominic's memory. I know.

Geez, there's too much going on up there. Yeah. But hey, Northridge very happy about you. Southbend St. Joe still unbeaten 286 over Southbend Riley. Uh hey, speaking of the Eagles of Call for Military Academy, they get it done.

3713 over uh a ranked opponent, Renzelier Central. Renz, that's only their second loss of the season. They Culver Military wins 3713. I actually don't think it's Culver Military anymore. I think it might just be Culver Academy. Yeah, I think that's what I'm saying.

I think they dropped the military. I drive by on 31. Let me let me know if that's true or not. But uh yeah, great win for the Eagles getting it done over Renzo Central. Great mascot though. I talk about it every time.

Bomber is great. All right, let's move into 5A. All right, good stuff. 4A I I just I love 4A. I love our 4A into 4A. I agree.

4A is just it's just tickling my fancy a little bit. Now we're talking uh you got to talk about the Highlanders, dude. Floyd Central Floyd Central's money this year. 7-0 beat Bedford North Lawrence 55-21. They're ranked fourth in 5A. Floyd Central is okay.

Are we going to talk about Luke Jacobe? Who is Luke? Talk to me about Luke Jacob. Dude, is this a guy? I think he Oh, they're making me They're making me pay for this. Well, he has six rushing touchdowns.

He did have six rushing touchdowns, I believe. So, if my math is correct, that is all but two touchdowns scored in that game. No way. Uh, football Luke Jacobe. So, the Highlanders are mowing everyone down. Guess who they got this week?

Arguably the game of the week. How about top ranked Evansville Memorial who just took down rights. So, we got Floyd Central and Evansville Memorial battling it out this Friday. James Bragg, head coach of Floyd Central. I mean, someone I mean, is this guy Wow. listed.

You will never guess. Luke Jacobe listed 57 155. Shut up. What a dog. 57 155. Luke Jacobe knows how to play ball.

Okay. Love that for Floyd Central again. 7 and0 unreal matchup coming up this weekend or Friday against Evansville Memorial. We'll talk about that again later. Amen. All right.

Floyd Central, you got your shine. Keep rolling. Cathedral beats Addex 43 to6. They were originally supposed to have a buy this week and added Addex to the schedule. Good for them. So, good on both teams for Yeah, people playing football, high school boys football.

Nobody's Nobody's mad about that. Uh, Fort Wayne Snyder beats Fort Wayne Northrup. Snider's ranked 10th there in 5A. Lafayette Jeff beats Cookamo 40 to7. What else going on here? Pendleton Heights over Delta 40 to34.

Pton Heights six and one. Hey, they I feel like they had one. Who did they lose to? Remember? Uh, was it lapel? No, it was our game of the week.

They were in the same conference. Oh, new. Yeah. Yeah. And it was it was not Well, Pelton Heights had a 14 nothing lead in that game. Oh.

And then lost like 38 to 17 or something. They might get it right though. Hey, you you got to tell your Did I tell you this story? Did I tell you this story about Penelton Heights head coach's son? Okay. So, head coach is Jed Richmond and uh the son's name Oh, J uh Jr.

is what he called himself, but it was just the initials of his name. Yeah. Jr. I believe it was James Richmond. Yeah. He comes up to us.

He's probably 10 years old. Oh. Comes up to us while we're waiting to go live before the game and he's just like, "You guys are the Operation Football Guys." Like, "Yeah, what's up, man?" He's like, "Name's Jed Richmond, just shakes our hand." He's like, start bantering like, "Are you guys gonna win tonight?"

He's like, "It's gonna be tough. It's gonna take a great effort." And I was like, "This guy is awesome." So then the conversation kind of dies down. I was like, "Well, you guys are great broadcasters." Knuckles just walks away.

No way. I was like, "That is the coolest kid I've ever seen in my life. Let's go." I thought it was the coolest thing. We shouted him out on TV. He is uh guaranteed to be at the helm of a football game.

Yeah. I mean, yes. Then then his dad, the head coach, came up. He's like, "I heard you talking to my son. He's he's a he's a wild man." And I'm like, "That's the coolest kid I've ever talked to."

Yeah. Uh playing field beats Franklin 4814. That was our play of the night. Uh the kid's name is Escape. Oh, Cohen Vanderbush. Cohen Vanderbush 83 yard pick six WHR's play of the night.

Wow. Congratulations to playing dude. The Quakers are they're sneakily in this, right? So, they have two losses on the year. Sabance is good. He's their QB.

That's a QB. He's this guy can play ball. Yeah, he what is it? Decator Central and lost to Decar Central and then they lost uh their first game of the year. Sabance got knocked out of that game. I remember um it was kind of surprising that they lost.

It was to uh Franklin Central. Okay. 31-7 first game of the year and they lost to Dec. The Quakers The Quakers are not going to be peaceful when the time comes in the postseason. No, they're going to be a tough out for sure. And I I it looks to me like they're going to win their last two games so they'll be seven and two.

Did you get that uh the Quakers aren't going to be peaceful? Okay. Come on. Yeah, buddy. Oh, Warsaw beats Plymouth 49 nothing. Warsaw battle with US30.

Here's my call. Warsaw's going to be in state early. That's my my early call is Warsaw's. Wow. Hey, someone said they never talk about Warsaw. I want go back and check.

We We talk about Bart Curtis every week. We don't just talk about Warsaw. We talk about Bart Curtis. What am I going to say about Bart Curtis? The Angie, the original Black Crunch for Angie Miranda, Don's mother. Yes.

All these really good teams in 5A are in the southern part of the state. Warsaw is going to just coast through. I'm telling you. Okay, now let's zip into 6A. Dominic, is that it for five? Yeah, five is a light.

I think that's I think that's it for uh that's what I'm seeing. Yeah, I think Yeah, let's talk about 6A. Let's talk about it. Um Okay. Well, obviously game of the night, Warren North and Warren Central. Warren Central just continues to win.

They They'll get down. Games will be wonky. They'll be high scoring. They only beat North Central by three earlier in the season. They've won lowscoring games, high-scoring games. They beat Center Grove to start the season.

Anthony Dennison, Keon Thomas, Zachariah Wallace. Then you got Caleb Elkins and Shawn Fox on the defensive side of the ball. This team is stacked. So much division one talent was on the field in this football game. 53-37. Warren Central gets it done.

And Keon Thomas again had 379 rushing yards and six touchdowns. I don't know what Zay Moore's statline was, but that young man is electric as well. I I I remember when I said break Brandon Sharp Runaway Mr. Football. Z Moore and Keon Thomas have something to say. Oh, they said, "Hold on."

They said, "Hold on, Dom. Way too early to be calling about Mr. Football because those two are two of the best running backs this state has to offer,000%." Wow. Uh Caramel gets right. Uh gets right.

You're just full of the puns tonight. 2824 over Ben Davis. Did you guys make it up to that one? Yes. Ben Davis frisky. I know they're two and five, but they are a frisky two and five.

I would not want to see them in the sectional. Really? Brownsburg might. So the frisky two and five. Could you imagine Ben Davis being Brownsburg in the sectional? That would be that would be electric.

I'm have to be at that Brett Cooper. I've been looking for a reason to get out to Brownsburg. You got you you got to but you you got to get to there's one day Spangle and I will be at a different high school game across the state every Friday night. I truly believe that. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. I mean I need to come out and do an OP football. Well, I would suggest uh this week because it's our last one. Oh, where are we at? Uh probably part Tutor. Part Tutor or Ritter?

I want to say. Okay. I mean it's in my neighborhood. It's probably going to be I mean I'm not doxing myself and saying where I live and I do not live near Tutor. I lived like a grip away where you know the average 29year-old would live. But uh that could be a good one.

It was really fun last year. They were like 1B in our You threw the pads on tutor. Was the football team out there? Yeah. Did they win the game? Uh yes.

All right. There we go. We have a pretty good percentage of football teams winning if they show up. Dominic, you know who we need to talk about? Who we got to talk about? We got to talk about Center Grove and Pike.

Center Grove is also just like sneakily taking care of business. Uh, dude, I believe this young man's name is Roman Young's. Yep. And he's a sophomore. Okay. Listed at 6'2 195.

First off, what's in the water on the south side, dude? 62 195. A sophomore. That's another place you got to watch a game is center. Yeah, I need to make it down there. So, this young man had six receptions, 103 yards, three touchdowns.

You know who's throwing him the football sp? Who is throwing him the football? Three star prospect Oscar Sloan. Bro, hold on. Four star prospect. I'm seeing three star 247.

Oh, I mean, okay. Tomato tomato. He's good. In his bio, in his bio on Twitter, Oscar says he's a fourstar. All right, I'll give it to you. Oscar Sloan, fourstar prospect.

Just committed less than a week ago to the Purdue Boiler Makers. How about that? Are we going to see him tossing the rock on Saturdays? Tossing the pill. Him and Zay Moore going to go team up there at Purdue. Oh, and uh Caleb Elkins, by the way, from Warren Central.

So, Purdue recruiting the backyard Spang. That's what it's going to take for Barry Odum's bunch to get over the hump there. But Center Grove opened the season losing to Warren Central 20 to 14 at home. All they've done is win since. So Eric Moore, that's why he's won nearly 300 games at the helm of Yeah, I I'm getting it on multiple sources that Oscar Sloan per not 247 is a fourstar. So, but he's tossing the pill to Roman Young's, the sophomore at 6'2, 195.

The guy averaged 17 yards reception and scored three touchdowns. Oscar Sloan has the prototypical size of a very successful quarterback. It's very pretty. the ball coming off of his hands. Uh 6'4 190. Tall guy.

Got to put put some meat on him. Big tall man. But hey, Center Grove big win uh over Pike and they got uh Center Grove has Lawrence North and Bloomington South to end the season. So Bloomington South's ranked first in 5A and Lawrence North is obviously very very good team. So we'll see. We'll see what's going on with the Trojans as the season dwindles down.

All right, for Wayne Carol gets it done over Homestead 45 to4. Uh, close game alert up in the region. Okay, we had Lake Central. They moved to 4 and three after a win over Chesterton 2221. Nice. I think Chesterton plays Crown Point this week.

Uh, Crown Point 7 and0. They they want to come down be the representative for State. They have sour taste in their mouth. Are they in the 6A? Uh, oh yeah. Oh yeah.

Crown Point has a sour taste after getting to state uh two years ago, I believe, three years ago, maybe. And they lost to Ben Davis um by a lot. Ben Davis was just not losing to anybody that year. But uh Craig Bazia, he he's just in search of that first state championship. And uh Crown Point, man, what a what a story for the region that would be. Craig Bazia, 57 and nine in six years as the head coach Crown Point.

This is crazy. So, Region Sports Nation, they have the gamewinning play was a fourth down touchdown to uh to Sharp, the wide receiver, and Lake Central defeated Chesterton to erase a 21 point. So, did they go for two at the end, though, dude? Okay, so no, no, it's 216. It's 2116. Hold on, dude.

You got to see this. This is crazy. Shout out to uh local 395, the union. Wait, this is sweet. The play of the game. This is crazy.

225 to go. Fourth and four. Drops back. Finds his man. Dagger. Double covered.

Now the question is, so that puts him up 22. So they went they went for two. Probably had to go up by three. Didn't get it and then stopped him. Dude, what an awesome Hey, that's why you play the game. All right.

You think they got down 21 nothing. You think they wanted to quit? Dude, that's wild. Good for that, man. That is awesome. That That's why you play the game.

Lawrence Central. Lawrence Central has battled in Russ man's first year at the helm. 3532 over North Central. Both those teams very frisky. You may look at North Central and say, "Oh, 1-6." No, frisky.

One and six. We got to talk about Whitland and Morsville. Okay. Whitland gets the job done 24-21 over Morsville. Uh, looking into the score a little bit. Um, they say the play of the game was with 18 seconds left in the first half.

Uh there was a huge interception by Whitland's senior defensive lineman Andrew Cochran. Big man. Yeah, big man. Uh that's wild. The last minute of the first half. This is definitely written.

This is a Yahoo article. We're not going to We credit a local journalist. This is a Yahoo article definitely written by He took it by No, took it from a local journalist. Um, Ryder Myers had two touchdown passes and it says about 120 yards. That's literally what it says. And I had that literally says it right here.

About 120 yards. That's funny. Uh, Kyler Hardaker had 61 yard touchdown catch. So, congrats. Yeah. So, shout out to the Warriors down in Whitland.

Get the They get the job done over Moresville. Hey, Perry Meridian won 3528 over Martinsville. Carrie Meridian five and two. That's sneaky. What do they say? Oh, did I see 40 carries for 235 yards and three touchdowns?

Carter Upshaw, how you doing? I mean, is he at is he a candidate for player of the week? I put him in there as an honorable mention. Oh, okay. So, that tells you what we class of 2028, buddy. Class of 2020.

Penn gets it done over Elkart 44 nothing. Penn is 7 and0. Maraveville gets it done over Valpo. What did I say? Maraveville gets it done over Valpo. 34-21.

Maraveville 6 in one. Dominic, I think it's time for my personal favorite part of every episode where we get to dive into the 1A leaders. Yeah. Yeah. Also, Brownsburg won. Brownsburg's ridiculous.

We already know it. All right. 1A hit me. All right. So Carol, my guys in Carol, dude, they moved to five and two on the year. Sneaky 28 nothing over Clinton Central.

All right, Dom, I need you looking at uh we are coaches poll officially. I'm making the distinction that we're a coaches pole family now. All right, fine. Okay. Can you do that for me? I mean, no.

We got to be united here. I know it's We got to be united. We're coaches until they give you a a glimpse at a vote. Until they give me a vote. Yeah. till he gets a a vote.

That's actually what you need to know is that Carol is now up to number seven. They got the job done over Clinton Central. Clinton Central 28 nothing. Casten is also in the coaches poll. They're currently ranked 11th. Nice.

They're six-1. Their only loss was to Pioneer and I I think it was kind of lopsided. No shaving in that. But they've got a big matchup this week uh against number three North Judson who is also seven and really we talked about North Davies last week. They get it done over Mitchell 50-6. Milin is 6 and1 55 to0 over Providence.

Who is Milin's one loss to? I believe it's Batesville and I believe it was a close game. Yeah. Yeah, we said it was a really close game. 28 27 28 27. Uh, so the Indians of Island, they don't just play basketball down there.

No, they know how to play football. So, and they got Eastern Hancock last game of the year, remember? Oh, but I don't We did say I don't think that's a conference opponent. I think that one's just for funsies. You are correct. I think that one's just for fun.

I love that. I love that. Just like a Hey, you know what? I know we're gonna I know we're a 1A school. Let's strap up play football. We're a 1A school, but we're going to take on a potentially undefeated 2A school just to round out the season because we like playing football.

That's awesome. I'm interested in the cast in North Judson match up. Pioneer plays North Judson. Final game of the season. That is a top three matchup. Okay, so that actually brings probably that's going to bring somebody more than likely closer to my 14 matchup because they are both un I guess 20.

You guessed 14. And I mean, let's be honest, Pioneer hasn't had a test really this season. They they did have knocks 3426, but and Lewis Cass 20 to 15, but since then they have been rolling. Pioneer made it to state last year. Did not get it done. They've been rolling teams.

Now, North Judson on the other hand has truthfully not been challenged. 42 nothing 5512 636 46 nothing 437 427 35 Cast might be in so yeah North Judson's toughest two games final two games of the year but remember you like the common opponent North Judson beat Knox 420 Pioneer beat Knox just by eight I think that that ticks scales in favor of the Blue Jays I think you're absolutely right uh let's keep rolling through North Newton moves to 4-3 with a win 2814. They double up Bowman Academy there. South Adams bounces back. They beat Jay County 42 to 28. Now, South Adams is 5-2.

They uh what that South Adams Oh, what? They had the guy with uh three touchdowns. Was that their quarterback, Zaden Bomber? That's a great name. If true. Big If True.

Uh South Adams beat Adams Central, you may remember. They have lost to East Side and Bluffton. Two ranked teams in 2A and 3A respectively. So talk about being tested. South Adams says, "Oh yeah, we are the Starfires." And we have been tested.

Yeah. Okay. So South Adams, Zayen Bomber, I believe that's his name. That's wild. Correct me if it's wrong. B A M E R.

Bomber. Oh, Bmer. Balmer. Balmer. And I like Bomber. Uh the BER kid.

We always, you know, we credit local news around here around the northeast corner. They uh named him the around the northeast corner football performer of week six. Nice. That have been two weeks ago. Two weeks ago. So this guy is worth a mention on our program.

I'll tell you that. He's legit. He is legit. Again, we credit all WZBD. So they uh they're a great Northeast Indiana. They're a radio station up there.

This is incredible. Okay, so they're ranked number seven and 1A coming off an incredibly meaningful victory over Adam Central last week and they started off a little slow. Um I believe Hold on. Wow. So they were down 21-7 early on in the game. So this is South Adams.

This is South Adams. They were down uh 21 to7. And then in the second half, South Adams scored four times in a matter of nine game minutes to turn a 2114 deficit into a 42-28 victory. Whoa, dude. All time coach Grant Moer. We played a great football game at 8:30.

Too bad the game started at 7:00. Dude, that is an all I want my football coach to have quotes like that. That is such a great shout out to our friends at WCBD. Yeah, that's big time. That is an awesome summary. Speaking of Graham Moer, back-to-back semi-state appearances, trying to bust that door down, you know what I mean?

Get to the state championship. Uh, you already mentioned it earlier in the program. Tecumsa moves to six in one with a win over Springs. Yes, sir. Is Tumza are they I don't believe they're in the rankings, sir. Uh, we talked about Alexandria beating Madison Grant.

That's a big time win. Uh, Brownstown Central remains unbeaten 43 nothing over Madison. So, I have a lot of people, I mentioned this last week, but I have a lot of people saying, "You gotta talk about Brownstown Central. We know all about Reed May, legendary coach." But they're like, "They have soft schedule." That's what I'm getting in the DMs.

Brownstown Central, soft schedule. Undefeated. Undefeated, but soft schedule. That's what I'm hearing. That's Central, Charles Town, New Albany, Salem, North Harrison, Seymour, Madison, Silver Creek, Scottsburg. They have not allowed more than a touchdown in any game this season.

They have been they have led up 21 27 points. They have only allowed 27 points. So this coach Reed May 73 and 66 that's it just that's insane. I don't care who I don't care if you're playing corn beef state. It is fun to be a regular season football player at Browntown Central and we're hoping it's going to be fun in the postseason. No state championships for Reed May.

That's the only thing missing from his resume. They went to state last year. All right. Someone's got to get the job done. Someone's got to get the job done. I'm pulling for Browntown Central.

I'll tell you that. Cascade. When did When was there one loss? Remember? I already said it. I know you said it earlier in the program.

When was it? You got this. I believe in you. Just Will you Will you tell me? Will you You tell me when it was. Oh, they lost to Danville.

Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. 2134. That was early on. They've been nails ever since.

They get right. Uh they stay right. So they're in the same sectional as South. Yeah. Which is going to be electric. Have they played?

Nope. Do they play? Nope. No regular season. Sorry I cut you off, but yes, they did beat Greek Castle. Wow.

74 to 14. 7414. We are not going to get a regular season. That's just down the road. Just down the road though. That would be a great traveling trophy.

Cadets versus the Eagles. There's something there. There's something there. The Kadigle trophy. We're work. Um, uh, you know, leave that leave that to marketing.

Leave that to the marketing program. Uh, Hagerstown keeps it going. Hey, thank you for mentioning Hagerstown. Hold on. Hold the phone. Hold everything.

All right. I want to get back to Hagerstown, though. Hold everything. Dominic, you talk about Hagerstown real quick. Okay. Hagerstown.

Remember this. I went there before the season. Decimated by flooding. They had to practice at erm Ball State. They missed four days of practice in the preseason. Well, how about this?

Scott Snider has his boys seven and0 ranked near the bottom of the poll, but uh they're having one of the best seasons in school history right now and uh they deserve it after what they went through. So Hagerstown, congrats. Keep it up. All right, you got Try and you got Northeastern to end the season. Let's get two dubs there for the Tigers. Hagerstown 7 and up.

Now what on earth do we need to hold the phone about? Now, you're going to hold that phone because the team that almost didn't have a season, the Lwood Panthers. Yeah. They get right and they beat Crystal House on what I believe to be senior night 4226. Nice. We love to see that.

Hagertown beat Winchester 39-6, by the way. Forgot to mention that. Uh That's awesome for Elwood. Two and four given the circumstances, I would take it. Yeah. I mean, given the fact they almost didn't have a season, uh, incredible and, uh, good for the good for the program.

Shout out to assistant I believe he's the assistant athletic director, my buddy Derek. That is awesome for him. Shout out Derek. Dman. Gonna be a Bman, dude. To win two games on a season that almost happened.

Hey, could this be the new red and blue crunch? Could it? Could it be? Could it be? That's the thing about Indian high school football. You just need a chip in a chance all the way.

All right. Well, Eastern beat Linton 56-2. And I got to tell you, are they are they still in the rankings? No, this is as bad as I've ever seen Linton 0 and7. That just that does not happen at Linton. He is Brian Oliver has won almost 10 games a year since he started.

I mean, we're talking state appearances, state championships. 0 and7. If I if they don't win a game, that will be the first time. I would have to say, how long is his How long is his tenure there? This is his 14th year. Something had to happen.

Something had there had something going on. Is it just like I know different classes come through and there's challenges, but but they were pretty rough. There has to be something going on. Something is going on. Um, I'm not sure. Now, they've played Riverton Park, they've played Indie Lutheran.

Okay. They've played Eastern Green Town, which are all three ranked in their respective classes. Monrobi is a good team. Sullivan's solid. So, like I don't know, man. I I I'm just perplexed by Linton going, you know?

I mean, yeah, they were on the I mean, and they came to Lutheran. Like, that had to mean that that I'm assuming Linton thought they were going to be pretty good. I mean, they're always good. Yeah. I don't know what they were a mainstay coverage item when I was in Terote. We needed to cover Linton because Linton's good.

Always. End of story. Period. End of sentence. I want to know. Okay, let's just do it.

Can Yeah. Someone can one of one of We're crowdsourcing information on Linton. Is it just a down class, down year? What's the story? Because I know Brian Oliver is one of the best there is. So, yeah.

And I I know the fan base has to be not pleased with what's going on. Uh happier pursuits. East Side is 7 and0. East Side is got it done over Churabusco 50-6. East Side ranked fifth there in class 2A. They have not won a sectional under Alex Brandaw.

Don't know if that's how you say it, but Brandoy Brandai. But uh East Side is good. And remember, I believe that's where Joe Richmond is, right? Our last week player of the week, Joe Richmond, East Side. Mhm. Okay, good deal.

He was Joe. Heck of a football. Uh they got Prairie Heights in Angola to finish out the season, but the East Side Blazers 7 and0. A lot of you been hitting me up about East Side. Good stuff. Yeah, I'm like looking through.

I have not been able to crowdsource anything um on what's going on, but he says, "Hey, from the desk of Daniel Phillips, which is Daniel Phillips, I don't know." This is on their Facebook page. It's time to look at the sophomore class of minor football. This group is well represented on the field and brings a lot of talent to the table. So, just young. Is that what I'm hearing?

I think they might be young. And uh there's a whole I mean there's like 15 kids on this soft not 15 but there's a lot of kids here. So hopefully you know the future's bright for the Linton Miners. Good deal. South Putnham we mentioned it beating the blank out of North View 45 to7. South Putt.

I got to watch these guys play. We got to get eyes on them. Like something's going on. Something's in the water. They're just crushing everybody. Yeah, man.

That's uh 2A. Oh, what's up? Another unbeaten team. Who we got? We've got the Wheeler Bearcats. Wheeler 7 and0.

Wheeler is 7 and0. They're gonna Nancy Wheeler. Oh, you've said that joke every time, dude. And they've only allowed 16, 22, 28, 40 points. Five points per game. 40 points on the season.

Josh Whissy, first year at the helm, seven and0. I mean, they're okay. Again, I don't know enough about this schedule. They've got Whity and Griffith grounded out, but they're undefeated. Hey, if you're undefeated at this point in the season, you we've said it before. You have our attention.

Yeah. I mean, like, what are you going to get mad at someone for winning all their games? You know what I mean? 4916 49 nothing. 416 456 370 456 426 over Cal. Wow.

All right. Here. Hold on. Yeah. Josh Whisting. Coach Whisting 7 and0 in his first year.

I don't know. Is there an echo in here? Dude, you have just when you're when you're you're just tunnel vision. Yeah, dude. It's happened like six times. I was deep in the uh Did you already talk about Wheeler?

Yeah. Well, no. I just There's been many times I've said something and then you say you're like, "Oh, dude, you look at this." Dude, I I just get like in the zone when I'm Dude, that's why you love listening to us because if you miss it the first time, you'll get it the second time. Yeah. All right.

Do we want to talk about 3A's round out? Hey, I got four teams I got to mention in 3A. All right, but we'll go through it. But anyway, uh Evansville Memorial, you win the weekend for me beating Evansville rights. So, you're top ranked. We love you.

Modern Day 6 and one. They beat Evansville bossy. So, they're bossy. Uh Indian Creek beat Speedway 427. The Braves just keep on winning, baby. And then I got to talk about Lawrenburg.

I got hit up about Lawrenceburg and that was the one that Spangle's like, you gotta tell him that we talk about him all the time. Lawrenburg gave East Central a solid game. Okay, 21 nothing to start the year. That's a 3A versus a 4A. Wait, 21? It was East Central beat Lawrenceburg 21 nothing.

And all things considered, that is a very respectable loss. So that tells me Lawrenburg's got some chops. They're six and one. All they've done is won since. They beat Rushville this week 7814. They beat Batesville who's very frisky, very good.

I gotta tell you, I got my eyes on the Lawrenburg Tigers 6 and1. Lawrenburg been to state a couple of times under head coach Ryan Kika. 146 and 45 in 60 or excuse me, 16 years at the school. Yeah. So, his son plays for Eastern Michigan. Is it his son?

Is it his son? I think it's a son. Is that what you're telling me? Yeah. Noah, dude. He's got 350,000 followers on Instagram.

What's this guy's deal, dude? I mean, I think that a lot like an influencer. Yeah. I mean, he does like a bunch of content. I got to look him up. I think a lot of people uh started following him because of their last name.

Yeah. And but then he like was good at really good at football and now he plays at or he's on the team at Eastern Michigan and he makes content. He's funny. Like Okay. Love that. Yeah, man.

He's got Lawrenburg Tigers. Rolling deep, baby. Coach Kigga, baby. Let's go. All right. We talked about Gibson Southern.

They're awesome. They're awesome. Yeah. Uh, what were the other teams you had to talk about in All right. Lawrenceburg, Gibson, Southern, and then I got Bluffton and McCannqua. I love saying McCannqua.

MCU McConnA is seven and0 under first year head coach Ethan Robbins. Shout out Coach Rob. I mean, that's like the sixth or seventh head coach who's in his first season who's undefeated. Uh, absolutely. Okay. Yes, sir.

Uh, can we also talk about your you did a you did a deep dive on the post wedding announcement. They are seven and0. Indian Creek. Indian Creek. Yeah. I had everyone blowing me up.

That video did very well. Yes, sir. Uh, sneaky six and one is Purdue Englewood. Purdue Polytech. Really? Yeah.

That's a great way they're putting together. They beat Arsenal Tech, I believe. Yeah, buddy. Okay. Six of one. Come on now.

What are we talking about? Did Tony help start that program? No, he did uh Purdue Poly Technic. That is Purdue Poly Technic. Oh, seriously? Purdue Englewood.

That's what it is now. Yeah. Stop it. Is that the same program? The one downtown. That's crazy.

Tony helps Tony's Dom's brother. He did help that get IHSA like approval and stuff, dude. They're six and one. Are they Are they the same for real? Yeah. The the downtown one on Washington Street.

They didn't have a football. They weren't a school, but they went by Purdue Polytenic there. Yeah. But so now there's more than one Purdue Polytechnic High School. Got it. So there's Purdue Polytechnic Broadripple and I think there's some other ones across the state.

Okay. But I think the OG original one was the downtown Englewood location. The AD told me if I come back and do an Operation Basketball Sunrise, which is something I'm very interested in, that that he would have trail a there. Oh yeah. Is Trey Is Trey local? I I don't know.

I mean, I know he went to Arsenal Tech. I didn't know if he was still hanging. Well, he said he would get him. Let's get Trey on this. Let's do an operation basketball Sunday and see what happens. Let's get Trey on the program.

Uh like I said, McConnqua, they stay unbeaten in a close one against Lewis Cass 44 to 42. So still unbeaten. We got 30 of them statewide. We'll see how many stand the test of time. Griffith beats Gary West 51 nothing. Like you said, Indian Creek love the Braves 427 over Speedway.

I see a lot of six and ones in the 3A, buddy. 3A is another class. Valley 60 6 in1 Twin Lakes 6 in1 West Noble 6 in1 Gibson Southern 6 and one lot of oh Miss Cino 5 in one we have come to the part of the show where we get to talk about outstanding performers in the state of Indiana and who's it presented by this is our high school football player of the week powered by Ascend Football Dom who are our candidates wow we have some serious contenders this week spangle the stat lines I was seen would make Carson Steel blush. I mean, I don't know. No, I'm saying the stat lines that I was seeing are going to I mean, it would be awesome for fantasy football. All right.

Yes. Oh my goodness. They would be electric. Like, you know, like CD Lamb this past weekend, if you had him on your team, you just like won the game cuz he caught like 20 passes and like a bunch of touchdowns. That's what we're working with here. Okay.

I have an honorable mention and then I have two contenders. Mhm. Honorable mention goes to Tucker Reed from Warsaw. Of course, the tag is led by Mark Bart Curtis. Seven carries, 245 yards, three touchdowns. Warsaw wins 49 nothing.

Dude, what is that math? 245 divided by seven. What's What's his yards per carry there? 35 yards a carry. That is outrageous against Plymouth, dude. Plymouth fall from grace.

My goodness. I don't know what's going on up there. Mhm. Anywh who, these are my two though. All right, we've talked about one, but I want to start with the other because we haven't talked about him yet. Trey Mccrainy, quarterback, New Haven, 3451, throwing the football.

If you're a high schooler and you get to throw the ball 51 times, that is legendary. Yeah, ice that show. That is legendary. 575 yards, eight touchdowns. in a 5735 win over Belmont. But that's a shootout one throwing the ball 51 times connecting on 34 of those for 575.

That's crazy. That's crazy. That is eight Tutties. That is absolutely you're throwing every play. Like again, my my candidate, my nomination was for uh Mingus from East Central. He scored six touchdowns in one half of football.

Yeah. How do you compare this? What I love about this one is it was not a blowout. Like this is 5735. I don't know how they scored. Maybe they pulled off called off the dogs.

TBD, but 5735. Like you're forcing them to keep throwing it and like stay in the game. That Trey Mccrainy, what a game. Okay. And then how about this? We talked about this is the third time we mentioned it is how awesome it is.

Keon Thomas heading to Iowa from Warren Central. 31 carries, 379 rushing yards, six touchdowns. Warren Central over Lawrence North 5337. I think coach Fence has got a dog. Yeah. Okay.

Keon Thomas is unreal. Electric. You're a stud. But 575 yards, eight touchdowns. 575, eight touchdowns. Shout out to our guy Trey Mccrainy out of New Haven.

The Bulldogs. Player of the week. Player of the week. Part of our friends out of Stend football. Shout out to Trey. That's awesome.

Incredible. Wow. Well, Dom, another week has come and gone. Yep. I want to talk about uh some matchups I'm looking forward to if you'll allow me. I would love to.

All right. Couple in class 6A. Second ranked Warren Central unbeaten. They got Caramel. All right. Caramel is searching far and wide for that first ranked win of the season.

And this could be a great opportunity. But I I got to tell you, Warren Central has impressed me very very much. This one this is this is going to be a really good one. Center Grove and Lawrence North. Little top six battle in class 6A. Mhm.

Center Grove, like I said, just all they do is win after that first loss of the season in the first week. Lawrence North. They can beat anybody, they can lose to anybody. That is Lawrence North. And this is the week, it's finally come, Spang, that IMG Academy is coming to Indiana to play new pal. One of their staffers messaged me and said he listens to our show.

One of the IMG staff. I swear he said he did say it's going to feel good to be back in Indiana. So, I wonder if he's from here. Well, hey, shout out to that guy, but I hope you lose this week. Uh, yeah. Well, I mean, I'm on the New Pass train.

They got to get right. You Hey, with nothing like get right against IMG. Dom, we love all sorts of Indiana high school football. We love matchups. I will always, always, always though, when it's Indiana versus someone else, you got to root for the hometown team. You got to root for the who's your team.

And there is nothing wrong with that, Smith. I will agree. Wait, I want to tell you this guy's name. His name was Matt Lane. Have been listening in on your content. Good stuff.

Looking forward to being back in Indiana as IMG Academy National heads the new pal. Should be a great atmosphere. Hometown is Lwood, Indiana. Matt Lane. Yeah. All right.

Assistant director of football ops, baby. Talk about it. How about that? Yeah. Thank you, Matt. Oh, wow.

Okay. Experience. He's a former director of athletics at Garren and then was a varsity football coach at No Noblesville, Lawrence North, and Garren Catholic. I wonder if uh is this a Matt Labus guy? I was just gonna say I wonder if Matt Levis knows this guy. I bet he does.

I'll include that in my response. TBD. We'll find out though. But uh again, see now we have a little bit of Hooer on Hooser action. We have an IMG guy, but he's from Indiana. I know.

I'm still going with the Dragons. No offense to Coach Lane. That's our game of the week. U Yeah. I mean IMG's coming. What is that not going to be the game of the week?

Dude, do they Okay, so do do clarify. Do they have like levels of team and is this their age? Okay, great question. I know they have levels for basketball. Yeah, I don't know if they have different levels for football. He says IMG national coming.

He made it sound like this is the team. Um maybe do some re research. I believe it's the A team coming. That's what I'm under the impression. So, we'll see if new pal like look new pal like just freaking leave it all out there. All right.

Show me something. Kyle Ralph, he's gonna have the voice charged up. That place is gonna be packed. I bet. I want to know like how many stars are coming to play in Indiana. Like I said like like uh cumulatively like cumulatively we need to do some research on that.

I want to know how many stars from recruiting are coming. Like is this like a if you have a let's say let's say if you have 22 starters they're all we're going to guess this. We'll bring it back on the show for next week. All right. If you have 22 starters, offense, defense, I'm guessing if you go to IMG, everyone's got to have two. So, m max possible is 110 if every single starter was a five star, which is not true.

Which is not true. Right. There's no way is the max. My guess is saying that like almost everyone would have to have two stars. Oh, I would say three if you're at IMG. 44.

So, I think the spread is somewhere between 44 and 110. I'd go, what do you think? How many stars? How many recruiting stars does IMG Academy have? They're coming to play New Pal on the field. 75.

You think 75 stars? Cuz you got there's got to be a handful of five stars, right? Like there's just got to be or at least four stars. 75 divided by 22 is like 3. 4 stars per person. Yeah, I like that.

I'm going to say I'm going to say 68 stars. Okay. 68 stars feels right. We'll report back next week. Okay, we'll let you know how many stars are on IMG. Uh, this is one of my favorite matchups of the whole weekend.

I always say weekend, it's a Friday. It's basically the weekend. 5A fourth ranked Floyd Central. Just the one loss against 3A top ranked Evansville Memorial. Yeah, buddy. That's going to be a good one.

Very excited about that game. Highlanders are hosting, looking to remain unbeaten. Great match up. I I'm so excited. I'll be down there for fall festival if anyone We're going to be hanging out. The downside is I can't stay for Friday night because I have a wedding on Saturday, but I believe Modern Day has a good game.

Like I believe back toback weddings, dude. Uh what do you mean? You have a wedding this Saturday? I have a wedding this Saturday. And we're going to Cole Taylor's wedding. I have Dude, I have no shortage of weddings.

That's awesome. I have no shortage of weddings. Who's getting married? Uh Lauren's cousin. Nice. Yeah, buddy.

Um, so I will say I'm sad not to be able to attend the game, but yeah, man. Uh, great matchups. Yorktown is had two Pendleton Heights. Yes, that's going to be a good matchup there in the uh I mean that's just like a they have some common opponents there. Yeah, both of them had respectable games against New Pal. So, so that's going to be very very interesting.

Where is that being played? I believe it's at Pendleton Heights. Okay, got it. And what else you got? Fort Wayne Snyder against Fort Wayne Dwinganger. That's 10th ranked in 5A Snyder against third ranked in 4A Dwinger.

Obviously Fort Wayne just meat grander like you said. Concord and Warsaw play. Excited about that. Concord still in the rankings after being three and four. How do you feel about that? I don't feel good about that.

Media or coaches? That's actually a fair question. Now it's a fair question. Now Donald, we're talking about Concord. You know what? three and four, but they've lost to Elcart, Northridge, Mishawaka, and Northwood.

North that Northwood loss should have knocked them out of the rankings, also. Uh and then last but not least, Adam Central, and Bluffton will nine verse 10 last 3A. Yep. All right. Uh rounding out there, that's our matchups for high school. Talking through a quick roundup.

We're I know we're pretty long here, but uh let's talk about Listen, you're the best. I want to talk about college football, buddy. All right. Uh, uh, Indiana Wesleyan scored 90 points. Stop. Over Judson.

That's not real. They did. Indiana Wesian is 5-0, undefeated. They took down Judson 90 to zero. What? That is uh You got to You might have to reevaluate the program at that point.

90 to zero. 90 nothing. They do not call off the dogs in college football. Oh, everyone's there for a reason. And I got to tell you, this was tough to see. Tough loss.

A one-point loss. Dennison takes down Waw Bash. Waw Bash started 4 and0. Things were good. Dude, Waw Bash, I will say one, they were putting together a great stretch. They got a tough stretch.

Our intern, shout out to Dunk. Dunk is a Waw Bash guy. He is our intern. They had a really, really great start to the season. And they were a lot of stirrings. So, for anyone that doesn't know, Dom and I are Depawrads.

Our intern is a Waw Bash grad. They had a great start to the season. U unfortunately we like ran out of time to talk about it which is like seems like something that we would do again. We just ran out of time. Unintentional. Unintentional.

Uh but when Depal lost to WashU then everyone there were stirrings. They sold more Monan Bell tickets when that started happening. But let me tell you right now Wabash loses by one point to Dennis. Yeah. They have a tough month of October. I'm looking at it.

They go to buy they have one week to get right. Oh yes. They have one week to get right. Then they go to John Carroll ranked sixth right now. They host Wu who's ranked I think 19th right now. They have a really hard month.

And then they then they go to Ohio Wesland. So I mean like October is going to be tough. October's a tough spooky season if you're a little giant bear. But again they have a week to prepare to get ready to go. They beat John Carroll. Oh buddy.

I I want I do want them to win. I really do because it makes the Bell game mean more and we're gonna be in Muny for the game. It's gonna be absolutely electric and I hope they can pull out some dubs here so that this game just is I mean it's got to be hard. I want to sell out my You know what would do that is two ranked teams going at it for potentially a conference championship. I really do. Uh keeping it rolling, Marian moves to 4-1 with a 26-6 win over Taylor St.

Francis of Indiana beats St. Francis of Illinois 4740. That's hilarious. They played each other. That is funny. Uh Goen Try moves to 4-1 with a win over Alma.

Rose moves to 3-1. They beat Franklin. Franklin moves to one and three. Good game. 42 to 34. 42 34.

Uh Otterbine over Manchester. D635. Manchester is now one and three, but they are actually in the process of reclassifying to NIA. Yes. They're moving from D3 to which is uh which gives athletic scholarships. Yeah.

Uh Hover takes down Mount St. Joseph. Hey, Hover Hover's three and one. Yeah. And so they're looking pretty good. I'm sure I think they're in the same conference as Rose.

I don't know who Hanover's won losses to. We might need to dive into that one next time. Um, Depa absolutely put it to Overland 68-7. I think Bluffton moves to one and three with a win over Anderson 3612. Hey, coach gets back in the win column with the win over William Juel. Uh, yeah, they move UN Indie moves to two and four, 4510 on William Juel.

Dude, I got to tell you, I did not see a one in4 start for U Indie. I did not have that on the bingo card, but you know what? That's all right. Big win. Get the momentum. Keep it up.

Everything's good. Yeah, man. That's uh that's from around the uh from around the country when you talk all things. Obviously, you know, Purdue. Huge win. Huge win.

Seriously, for coach ODM, that's a big win right there. Yeah, it's a big one. You got to get in the win column. Huge win there. Uh obviously the Irish are still rolling. The Hooers are rolling.

It's a beautiful time for football state of Indiana. I do would I'd love to see Ball State string some wins together. They lost to Toledo 3924. Uh Ava Mchune of Culver, she's leading the state in points per game. She has 5 and a half points per game. She scored 37 goals.

I I don't really know the scoring of soccer, so I'll put hand up. I need to be better. But I'm getting on max preps and I'm seeing points and like she had four goals in a game versus Peru but scored eight points in the stat sheet. Huh. I don't know what points means but either way Ava has scored 37 goals on the season. She's got 13 assists.

Ava Mun having a heck of a season. I want to talk about Kane Steffy for Tri West Hendendricks who has 39 goals in 16 games. My math's correct. That's over two goals a game. That's wild. That's pretty impressive.

And how about Eningga Freeze of Crawford'sville? 36 goals in 13 games. They're in a little bit of a race for goals. So, I believe again, someone that knows soccer maybe put it in the comments. Goals different than points, how that all works. Yeah.

I'll be honest with you, dude. I I don't uh not familiar with the point system on the boy side. Uh Edwin Edwin Garcia Velasquez. I believe it's Edwin Garcia Velasquez. I don't think you should say it like that. your fate.

I'm Puerto Rican, dude. You're Puerto Rican, bro. Uh, yes. And we'll go Edwin Garcia Velasquez. Yeah. 100 points and 41 goals in the season.

Sorry. We got to We got to understand the points. That's our homework for next time. Yeah. Homework. Next time we're going to come back and we're going to know points.

But, uh, Grayson Zares got 99 points and 27 assists. Griffin, I wonder if they're related. Has to be, right? I mean, got Grayson's got 99 points and 27 assists. Griffin's got 25 assists. Conor Holder out of Oldenberg with 79 assists and 38 goals.

That's talking points versus goals. I'm looking at these stats like these people are crazy. Yeah, buddy. And um that's a wrap on today's That's a wrap. Hey, that was a lot of fun. Spe, here's your weekly reminder.
