Week 2 High School Football Recap, Plus College Football Is Here!

On the latest edition of the Sideline Sports Show, Brice and DC recap another busy week of high school football. The guys then debate the best matchup, most surprising score, and top performers from Week 2.

The show featured a special appearance from Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ashton Dulin. Be sure to check out the full interview for Dulin's thoughts on his career, football, and more.

There were plenty of big results around the area, including East Noble’s 46-36 win over Snider and Bishop Dwenger’s dominant 35-0 shutout of St. Francis de Sales.

Carroll fell to Center Grove 42-17 after trailing by just one score at halftime. The loss was the Chargers' most lopsided defeat since the 2022 state championship game, which also came against Center Grove.

Homestead picked up a dramatic 27-15 win over Noblesville after the Millers led 15-13 with just 3:30 remaining. Caleb Hollingsworth's five-yard pick-six gave the Spartans the lead, while Homestead's defense held Noblesville to just 145 total yards.

Warsaw also survived Northrop 29-28 in a game that featured a remarkable offensive stat line: the Tigers rushed for 380 yards and attempted zero passes.

The Northeast 8 Conference produced one of the wildest finishes of the night as Northridge edged Columbia City 35-34 on a 40-yard touchdown pass with two minutes remaining.

DeKalb continued its strong start with a 40-26 win over Angola. Bracen Staley threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns.

The biggest ACAC headline, however, came from Eastside's 21-14 victory over Adams Central. The loss ended Adams Central's remarkable home winning streak on the Landing Strip, dating back to Nov. 6, 2020.

Fremont continued its impressive offensive start with a 62-20 win over Osceola Grace. Quarterback Jaret Laughlin accounted for eight total touchdowns.

The guys also look ahead to the college football season, which officially got underway, with several major games on the horizon. Notre Dame will face Wisconsin at Lambeau Field next weekend, while Indiana takes on North Texas and Purdue hosts Indiana State in a Friday night matchup.
